Cozumel is the biggest island in Mexico, located on the Yucatan Peninsula on the East side of Mexico, on the Caribbean. It is separated from the Yucatan Peninsula by the Yucatan channel which is 12 miles wide. The town of Cozumel is called San Miguel with a population of approx. 75,000 people.

With a subtropical climate the average temperature is about 27°C - 80°F, and because Cozumel is surrounded by water the climate is always humid often around 90%. Cozumel is not only one of the best locations for a Mexico wedding, but because the island is surrounded by reefs, it is also famously the best location for diving in Mexico.

On Cozumel, couples can marry on a beach, in a garden overlooking the ocean, in a gazebo, or even under water.

Valid Passports
Copy of the tourist visa/immigration slip that you receive upon arrival in Mexico
Blood tests taken here in Cozumel (if you would like to take them in your own Country, they will need to be Certified with a Doctor in Mexico at a charge) Tests: Blood Type and RPR. Tests need to be taken within 20 days before the wedding date.
4 witnesses to the civil ceremony.

Ceremonies to marry Cozumel are in English - there are translators to help couples the ceremony.
