- My husband and I had our wedding in Sydney - it was fantastic. We recommend that you have your ceremony as late a time in the day as possible in the summer as it can get very hot - that's what we did. We had spent the morning lounging around the pool, drinking champagne, then got married in a tropical garden overlooking the Opera House at sunset! Australia is a great for a relaxed wedding!
